Job Description:

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Present and sell company products and services to current and potential customers

Deliver excellent presentation standards

Ensure the stock file is kept accurate

Manage the activities of the team members including appraisals, performance management and training needs analysis

Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets

Identify sales prospects for development.

Manage the handling of all monies received and credited in all areas of the branch

Participate in marketing events such as seminars and trade shows

Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge

Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships

Manage company-computerised network to activate and maintain contract services and client contacts

Ensure price labels are replaced regularly in line with price changes

Review, record and resolve client complaints

Coordinate delivery schedules for merchandise and services as necessary

Provide on-the-job training to new employees and arrange all other training

Report to the Managing Director, Finance Director and Sales Director as necessary through a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to identified goals (KPI’s)

Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff

Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to maintain sales

Coordinate company staff to accomplish compliance with MIS policies & procedures

Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce excessive stockholdings

Adhere to all MIS Ltd policies and procedures including those relating to health and safety and environment protection (including the risk assessment, COSHH and DSEAR processes)

Ensure departmental compliance in accordance with the company quality assurance procedures

Depot security

Various cross over roles within the depot to ensure maximum efficiency of time and staff and ensuring first class customer service

Most meetings and training will be carried out on the job but some meetings and training will be carried out in the Inverness branch so ability to travel and work from other locations will be necessary on occasion.

 

Preferred Skills:

Preferred - Undergone recognised product/equipment training and typically has had at least 1 years direct customer/counter sales experience selling industrial equipment and materials.

Required - The ability to work on their own, and make decisions relevant to the successful outcome and conclusion of the running of the branch within MIS processes and procedures.
