The division has come a long way in six years. Led
by Robbie Williamson - who also puts his management
skills to good use on the football field as Elgin City
boss - aquaculture has the benefit of being backed
up by a committed internal team. "I am very fortunate
that we also have the back-up of the other divisions
within the company that gives the industry the service
and expertise it demands" said Robbie.
MacGregor's willingness to embrace the latest technologies
ensures the aquaculture industry is equipped for the
challenges of 21st century commerce however remote
the location of the customer. "Companies like the
E-shop on line ordering system we have to offer and
we are the only company that can offer the E-procurement
facility within the aquaculture industry."
On a day-to-day basis, MacGregor equips farms and
factories with a wide range of consumables, machinery,
personal protection equipment, plant, tools and specialist
marine equipment. Its customer base in Scotland includes
Mainstream Scotland, Glendale Salmon, Pan Fish Scotland,
Lakeland, Marine Harvest, Fjord Sea Foods, Scottish
Sea Farms, Lerwick Fish Traders and Wester Ross Salmon.
Furthermore, site surveys, health and safety audits
and environmental assessments can be carried out ensuring
that the most stringent regulations in the industry
are fully complied with and that the clients can be
assured they are receiving the best products available
for their specific needs.
