MacGregor's Welding Division prides itself on its

From dealing with the DIY market to everyday users
in the automotive, sheet metalwork, general fabrication,
maintenance, rig repair and the sub-sea industry,
MIS follows the same principles — quality products
and quality service.
Welding plant stocked on the premises includes Lincoln, Esab/Murex, Thermadyne
and Kemppi, and cover manual metal arc, Mig and Tig welding. Hypertherm, the
market leaders in Plasma cutting equipment, is also stocked. All machines sold
are given a Pre-Delivery Inspection, warranty is covered by MacGregor's in-house
approved technicians, and calibration of equipment can also be carried out
as part of MacGregor's after sales service. Mig and Tig torches and consumable
parts are supplied by Parweld including the new XP8 Mig torch range. Weld metal
consumables are supplied by Lincoln, Metrode, Esab and Sif bronze. Harris,
part of the Lincoln Electric group, provide an extensive range of cutting,
torches and accessories as well as gas regulators for cutting, heating and
shielding gases for welding operations.
External Sales are covered by Willie Sutherland, a former welder and welding
inspector. "The knowledge and experience of the welding team coupled with the
first class back-up service provided by our suppliers and the knowledge of
many of our clients assists in the sales process to provide the correct welding
equipment and consumables," he explained. "And our in-house demonstration area
allows us the opportunity to demonstrate our range of products to the first
time buyer or everyday users”.
Mark Heard is the head of the internal sales team and provides support to Willie
as well as servicing key accounts and welding purchasing. Mark has extensive
knowledge of manufacturers and supplies built up from 18years of experience
including 13 years involvement in the welding sales industry in the North East
of England. "The strength of our knowledge combined with our expertise allows
us to provide the correct information at first point of call, and quickly and
efficiently attend to the customer's requirements," added Mark. "Anything we
don't stock we will do our best to source."
The anchor of the team is David Rodger. David's 26 years of experience as an
electrical technician in the oil fabrication industry, covering plant, maintenance,
electronics and equipment calibration, provides MacGregor with an invaluable
asset.
