At MacGregors we are focused on engaging with our surrounding community and giving back to the people who need it most around us. As such a large company, our ethos is to put our size and influence to good use and as a result, have an impact on others’ lives and the community in which we all live.
What have MacGregor Supplies been up to recently?
On Friday 31st May Macgregor Industrial Supplies participated in “Wear Yellow Day” raising funds for The Highland Hospice. Iain MacKenzie, Sales Director at MacGregor Industrial Supplies Ltd, donated £200 worth of Love to shop Vouchers which were raffled off into 5 separate prizes in aid of the charity. The staff all donated to wear yellow t-shirts which was kindly donated by George McCue, in a bid to turn themselves yellow for the day. Overall, the team raised a grand sum of £407.70 for The Highland Hospice for #WearYellowDay.
The Inverness branch currently runs a ‘tuck shop’ where staff can get their daily sweet, savoury or fizzy juice fix at the office. With no shops close by, this goes down a treat! Charity committee members managed to donate £250 towards two separate charities. The first was donated to the Elsie Normington Foundation for The Haven Appeal. The foundation aims to develop a specialist multi-purposed facility for children and young people up to the age of 30 with multiple and complex needs across The Highlands. The other £250 went towards SNAP Inverness, Special Needs Action Project. SNAP offers services for out of school hours for children and young people with learning disabilities.
The MacGregor team will continue to do their part and keep you up to date with all things charity and community.
