This course is intended for individuals who hold a current Emergency First Aid at Work or First Aid at Work certificate and wish to keep knowledge and skills up to date.
This short course helps refresh the key skills of workplace first aiders so that they feel confident to deal with first aid emergencies should they arise. It is strongly recommended that all workplace first aiders complete annual refresher training during the 3-years following their initial training course.

Who Should Attend
Workplace first aiders who hold either a First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work certification.
Course Syllabus
- Assessing the situation and acting safely, effectively, and promptly in an emergency
- Management of unconscious casualty (including seizure)
- CPR and AED
- Choking
- Wounds and Bleeding
- Shock
Certification
An annual refresher certificate will be awarded at the end of the session.
Other Information
Delegates should be physically able to carry out procedures required including floor work where kneeling and bending is involved.
